How version checks work
ShareKeyX checks a signed server-owned release policy when the app launches and whenever it returns to the foreground. The policy compares the installed native version and build with the latest store build and the minimum supported build.
Optional and required updates
- An optional update can be postponed for 24 hours.
- A required security or compatibility update cannot be dismissed while the installed build is below the supported minimum.
- The Update button opens only the official ShareKeyX listing on Google Play or the Apple App Store.
- If the network is unavailable, a previously received mandatory policy remains cached and enforced.
Automatic updates
The in-app Automatic compatible updates switch can install verified content updates that do not require new native code. Full native app installation remains controlled by Apple and Google and cannot be enabled silently by ShareKeyX.
Enable complete store auto-updates
- Android: open Google Play, tap the profile picture, open Settings, choose Network preferences, then Auto-update apps.
- iPhone or iPad: open Settings, choose Apps, choose App Store, then turn on App Updates.
- Keep enough storage available and allow the store to use your preferred network.
Verify before you leave
- The installed version and build are visible in App Updates.
- An update button opens only the official Apple App Store or Google Play listing.
- Store-level automatic updates remain controlled in the device store settings.
